Who can qualify to receive home health care?
From babies receiving photo therapy for jaundice to an injured worker receiving physical therapy for knee injury to an elderly person receiving post operative care for a total hip replacement,
patients of all ages are able to receive care in their home.
In 1997, there were approximately 40 million aged and disabled persons enrolled in Medicare; of these people, approximately 4 million received some home health services. People 65 and
older use 75% of home health care services.
